Everything arrived, boards look great but had a lot of useful feedback from the portfolio and seeing as I had time I turned around a new one in a couple of hours and sent it to print. They’ve arrived and now all I can do is wait until tomorrow to put them all up, present on Friday and then be done for the holidays!

Professional Practises – Week 4
Everything is sent off to print, just have to wait for them to come back and hope that they’re OK seeing as my wallet wouldn’t appreciate having to print anything else, especially the presentation boards. Pretty happy with how its turning out so far and simply put can’t wait for the holidays at this point.
Professional Practises – Week 3
Presentation boards are done after hours of rendering and tweaking models/environments for them to look as good as possible. Still cracking on with drawings and collating all the images I need for the portfolio. This is all dragging on somewhat.
Professional Practises – Week 2
Now, I’m making my way through my CAD very well with most of them done and my cutlery project improved to make it look less like a brain. Time to start the constant render grind while also solidifying the layout and style of the portfolio. I’ve gone for a layout that’s very clean in my opinion, with line drawings, sketches and the CAD renders. I’ll hopefully be done by next week.
Professional Practises
New project once again, this is a 6 week project about presenting work. By the end we’re going to need 2 presentation boards, 4 sketchbooks and a portfolio. Simply first off I’m trying to come up with a style I want to go for with my portfolio, which im kind of decided I want a minimalist look to it. I’ve also started CADing up a bunch of previous projects. This is going to take some time.
Klipsch – Week 9
This week we got back to uni, I didnt really have that much work to do other than touch up the model and brace myself for the presentation. Saying that, the presentation actually went far better than I thought and got some genuinely useful feedback to apply to further projects about how to make renders look real and composition of them. I felt I presented far better than the other projects, probably because I feel like I was far prouder of this project than the others.
Klipsch – Easter Break
So, this break has been nonstop fun of trying to juggle work and uni work. It is all done though, having made a model out of MDF using tools we had at home, and having rendered everything and compiled it in record time. Overall, I’m pretty happy with it all, though I still need to learn the art of time management to avoid this happening. ALL. THE. TIME.
Klipsch – Week 8
This was the last week before easter, meaning I need to get as much as a can done, being booklet, boards and model done. And funnily enough I didn’t get it all done because I spent so much time messing with Keyshot settings. So this is going be one fun holiday of working, and doing uni work.
Klipsch – Week 7
We had a whopping fun lecture about how to use keyshot, I had problems because I didn’t do things in separate parts and then did googling to find that you can actually do it, and BAM it was rendered. But then we had to do twenty renders per design, meaning 60 renders.

Klipsch – Week 6
So, this week was evaluation our ideas with a few methods like DOT, Matrix and focus groups. I happily found the top 3 were some I liked, though they would need some heavy tweaking to make them in the style of the brand. My ideas have some weird forms meaning I’ll have to use the features of their products in order to keep somewhat in style with the brands. We now had to make CAD models to put into keyshot to learn to render using that.
